DOS Trader
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Stand-alone version of a trading sim module that's to be used in an upcoming project in development. This is a very slow moving trading game, it's best to let it run in the background and check your assets occasionally.
Set in an MS-DOS like environment, commands are to be typed.

I'm getting:
Error: Could not find or load main class DOS Trader.jar
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: DOS Trader.jar
I'm using the latest version of Java. I'm running Pop!_OS (It's an Ubuntu distro).
Ah, too bad. I think this game was made in Java 8, which has become a bit old at this time. You should be able to play this on Java 8, but maybe it's not really worth it to install that version on your pc.
Thanks for reporting this, but I'm afraid I'm not able to update this game anymore due to some technical issues.
I'm sorry to hear that. I love the look of the game.
Hi Peanut Panda,
I really love your game and i'm playing it every time. The problem is the storage limit. How can you change it to 100 capacity storage or maybe 200?
My protofolio worth: 1,079,000$ and I want to make more money.
25 for the storage is too low. Is there a way to change this value ?
Keep working on it pal !

Space Trader without the time limit! – wouldn't mind some sort of alert system for when I'm away from the computer (maybe a beep sound when profits/prices are above or below a certain threshold). The game saves on exit (even after a restart, I've tested it) so I will probably play this until the end of time.
how to reset the game?
Hi, great suggestion!
Version 1.2 has just been uploaded. After downloading it, you should be able to enter the command RESET to completely reset the game.
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for playing!
I enjoyed the game, I'd recommend a command that changes the speed of the game and also upgrades or a shop that would let you buy computers to algorithmically trade for you. Cheers!
I may add some future updates eventually. In the end this game will be part of a bigger game as a kind of mini-game, so it's bound to change a lot until then. :)
Thanks!
